GoldSync provides applications ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to build and maintain their online store. This Privacy Policy provides detailed information on how data is collected, used, and shared when you install or use our apps with your Shopify store.
Merchant Information
When the application is installed on a Shopify store, the application stores the Full Name, Company Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Physical Addresses of the merchant that are necessary for the application functionality. Additionally, this information is used to communicate with you regarding important updates and critical changes that might affect your usage of the application.
Third-Party Disclosure
We share your information like product configuration, stone pricing, etc. with Shopify to support the application functionality such as displaying a Metal Price Bar and Price Breakdown. We do not sell, share, or trade the information we collect through the application to outside parties at any cost. We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive.
Data Storage & Security
The security of the information processed through the application is important to us. All information, including Product Configurations, Stone Pricing, and Metal Prices, is stored on secure cloud servers managed by our hosting provider. To be in line with Fair Information Practices, should a data breach occur, we will notify you via email within 7 business days.
Data Retention
We retain the Merchant Information for one year or until you ask us to delete it. We retain the rest of the information for 3 months or until you ask us to delete it. To request a deletion, the application must be uninstalled from the Shopify store. The data will be deleted within 14 working days from the date the deletion request is made. We may have to retain some parts of the Merchant Information to comply with other legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. GoldSync would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every merchant is entitled to the following:
The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions mentioned in the 'Data Retention' section of the policy.
The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions mentioned in the 'Data Retention' section of the policy.
The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions mentioned in the 'Data Retention' section of the policy.
The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service in the application. No merchant information such as name, email, or address is tracked or shared with third parties for analytics purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make changes to this policy, we will notify you by email, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any.
